In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

 In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) process is one of the most common effective and the reliable procedure. In this procedure your partner’s eggs are combined together with your partner’s sperm at the laboratory, after fertilization takes place , it takes around 3-5 days for the embryos to develop and then it is placed in the uterus.

 

How it works

This is a multi step process (called a cycle) in which the eggs are extracted and then fertilised, with the sperm in a lab. Once the embryos are fully developed, one or two are implanted in the uterus and the rest are stored.

Best for

This is done in the case of older women or women with blocked or severely damaged fallopian tubes, or scarring from endometriosis or men with very poor sperm quality and couples who experience unexplained infertility.

This varies from age  40% of women (under the age of 35); 32%(ages 35-37), that is 23% and (ages 38-40) become pregnant.

Cons
