Jaundice is a disease caused due to malfunction of the liver. It is one of the common disorders of the lungs and it occurs when there is blockage in the bile duct or there is loss in the bile producing liver cells. The main symptoms of Jaundice include yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes caused by the huge amount of pigment billirubin in the body. Bile is a digestive fluid that is necessary for proper nutrition. It fails to function in the proper manner andfiltering and elimination of toxins from your system is adversely affected.

The possible causes of jaundice include acute hepatitis, hymolytic anemia, pancreatic cancer, blockage in the bile duct, excessive alcohol consumption, thyroid malaria, tuber. Several psychological factors like stress, anger, fear and lust can also be causative factor for jaundice.

Newborn babies are also infected with jaundice because of a condition known as hyperbilirubinemia. In such instances, there is a flow in the synthesis of the enzyme that breaks down bile to an excretal form.

  • Do not eat sea foods
  • Take proper rest

Home remedies :

Juices of bitter vegetables are good for treating jaundice. Mash the vegetable and extract their juices by squeezing with a cloth. Drinking one glass vegetable juice daily morning will help to cure jaundice. A mix of beetroot and lemon juice also will help in curing the disease. It is good to drink gooseberry juice thrice a day. It is usually recommended for all kinds of liver ailments.
